• Inner layer of 300 thread count organic cotton* and an outer layer of stretch chiffon*.

• Pocket design, if you want to insert any extra filter material.

• Aluminum nose bridge sewn in for better fit and seal. (Slide aluminum wire out before washing)

• Stretch cording wraps behind the neck/head for comfort. You can tie it to fit and then it easily stretches over your head to take on and off, or pull down to your neck as needed. If you prefer to have it only around you’re ears you can easily tie and cut the cording to fit.

• Care Instructions: Slide aluminum wire out before washing. Machine or hand wash warm, tumble or hang to dry. Iron as needed.

I have looked at this study about materials for masks and found this combination to be the most comfortable and breathable while still being reasonably effective at filtering particles.

In a nutshell the study found:

• One layer of stretch chiffon is 67% +/-16% for <300nm and 73% +/-2% for >300mn.

• One layer of 600tpi cotton is 79% +/-23% for <300mn and 98.4% +/-.2% for >300mn.

I'm using 300tpi I’m estimating conservatively that its half as effective.
